Whether you believe that humans fell out of the grace of god through sin, evolved from primates, or some other creation story, humans are made of this earth. We are part of the animal kingdom.
Sometimes we expect humans to act like ascended beings, in the image of god. Yet we are on an earthly realm. We are surprised when humans act like monkeys. Darlings, we are primates.
Watching animal shows helped me understand humans better. Humans have mating dances, territory marking, pecking orders, and more.
Religion and spirituality can be good for us, as long as we don't use it to harm others. Jesus taught that we shouldn't harm each other with religion and judgment. He rebuked the hypocrisy of the pharisees.
We are capable of creating beauty and destruction. We are capable of intelligent thinking and artistic creation. When we radically accept humans for their humanity, we can stop treating them like we expect better from them. When we expect better from people, we are regularly disappointed. We can create boundaries and then choose who we surround ourselves with.
My point is that humans are going to act humanly. They get into groups and become hateful. This is a fact of humans. When we see people for who they are, we understand that we must actively create a kind world through kindness. Nature and the world can be harsh. If we seek betterment through anger, we will only create more anger.
I have a love / hate relationship with humanity. I love each individual, just as I love and wish for the best of each being on this planet, especially the animals.
I hate the human species. We are an invasive species. We destroy ourselves for pleasure. We destroy our own community members for the purpose of entertainment. We are destroying ecosystems. We are due for an evolution of the species that mother earth is ushering in. The bible said the world would be on fire for the new earth. Ladies, gents, and NBs, our world is one fire: wildfires, wars, and drilling into the earth.
I want to see humans evolve and it is my life goal to assist it. I am evolving and I support the evolution of the species. I want to see this done in a peaceful manner.
But if we destroy ourselves, the earth will heal. There are mushrooms that are eating plastic. The earth will continue to evolve and I hope we peacefully join her on her journey. The choice is all of ours which it will be.
